As of recently i mainly used Intel (775/1366/2011/2011-3) platforms as most here and one AMD s754 Athlon 64 3400+ with 768mb and ti4 4200 agp.

Recently i recieved a Dell e521 (AM2) and while it is an OEM this opened my interest/obsession in trying out more AM2/2+/3/3+ systems because i never experienced them myself properly.

Mostly i want to build a couple of systems:

AM2 for Xp32: Got a Asus M2N-SLI with a Athlon 64 x2 6000+ (125w not sure if i will keep this hothead have a new in box 5600+ 89w) and 4gb ddr2 800 still looking for 2 good 8800GTS or slightly newer 9800 GTX(+) to use for SLI.

AM2+ for Vista x64: have a 790FX which i am bidding on and have a 760g allready, have a Phenom X4 9600 not sure if this will stay am more interested in a Phenom X3 8850 or 8750 just because it is obscure for the gpu i am undecided was thinking about crossfire HD 5670's because i have those (only possible with the 790FX board).

AM3 for 7 x64: After just finding a 880GA motherboard for 10€ with 8gb 1600 ram and a Athlon II X3 445 need to find a Phenom X6 95w chip still, a HD 7870 or GTX 285/295 i can throw in.

AM3+ for 8.1 x64: Have a 990FX board with a FX-8350 (wich i want to sell and get a FX-6300) 16gb and HD7970 (bought it all for 30€).

Still need some cases for all of these.

What are thoughts on these AMD platforms?
