My FIC VA 502 has 512 KB level 2 cache memory on board. In the BIOS this cache is enabled. The BIOS version is 1.13 AJ139. I did a test with Cachechk . This tool only detects the level 1 chache. See the picture.

The attachment 20251009_171454.jpg is no longer available

Does anyone know why the level 2 cache cannot be detected? Are there other tools that can help to make sure that the level 2 cache can be used (or not)?

Not sure about the conclusion cachechk is drawing here - there's a jump from 6us to 8us when you go from 512kB to 1024kB. That looks like there's something speeding up 32kB to 512kB, which sort of fits the description of L2 cache.

To check if I'm right, disable L2 cache and re-run. I'd expect you to get a uniform 8us/kB from 32kB onwards in that case.
