Looking at getting my old Amiga 1200 up and running again but have ran into an issue, I need a good way to connect the old girl to a more modern HDMI panel. What are the current ways of doing this that wont require me to have to hack into the Amiga, would like to keep the case in good condition. (Its still its original color too, no yellowing as yet on case or keys)

I do have an original commodore monitor for it but Im not willing to fire it up till I can find a tech to go over it and make sure its still kicking, it has not been turned on in close to 15 years at this point so dead caps on it are likely.

I guess the same might apply to the 1200 and its power brick, going to open them up and do a visual check for any sus caps. (Its a fully decked out 1200 with dual SCSI HDDs and ram upgrades so worth restoring)

Any advice here would be great as its bee quite a while and Im out of the loop on the best way to get the 1200 working with a more modern display, ODD and mouse.

If you are willing to use a VGA->HDMI upscaler like an OSSC or have a LCD monitor that accepts 15khz input, the best option is the RGB2VGA adapter that someone is manufacturing on AmiBay:

(I also recommend getting two HID2AMI adapters from them as well to save on shipping, I've tried three different USB->Atari joystick port adapters and theirs is the only one that properly recognises my Elecom HUGE trackball and Qanba Q4RAF stick)

Thanks for the pointers, Ill have a look over there, Looks like the Power Brick will need some attention before I fire it up but the Amiga itself looks in good nick !
