My motherboard is FIC Skyhawk-L

I think it was once part of an HP computer.

It complains on boot about missing audio and usb cables. These are standard heads (not proprietary) and I have them connected. Not a big problem but annoying.

I have tried different bios versions but the HP bios is very locked down and none of them have any relevant options.

I am wondering if it possible to short pins on the motherboard to shut this up? Or else I am happy to provide a bios dump if somebody with skills can find a way to stop it.

Thank you for considering.

Update: Fixed.

In case anybody finds this in the future.

Some early 2000s HP boards use propritary USB and/or AC'97 pinouts despite the headers being of standard size. Regular front panel connectors don't work despite fitting.

The solution for me was to buy a period correct HP USB/Audio front panel.

My motherboard originally came from a 2003 HP d325 business machine, but the front panel from a 2003 HP d530 is identical and immediately got rid of the error messages.

It's just sitting in the bottom of my chassis for now, but will be easy enough to now hook up my case connectors to it with extenders.
