I have a few different Promise PCI IDE and SATA adapter cards and it’s easy to notice that the FastTrak S150 TX2 has an unpopulated 40pin IDE header.
There is one post I’ve found that mentions having modded an S150 TX2 into an S150 TX2plus but don’t mention how.
Does anyone know if there is more to it than simply soldering on shrouded 40pin header?
The chip in the TX2 is a PDC20371 while the chip in the TX2 plus is a PDC20376.
