Apparently, if you use CVS and apply a certain patch that only updates the parts of the screen that actually update, DB speeds up a lot.
When is the next official release going to be put out?
You won't get a release date. You may get a cryptic response tho. Such as: "Soon". This could mean.....3 months.....5 months......6 months...or even longer. It's all relative. 😀

Just use a CVS build and be happy. The patch you're referencing might not be part of an official release for a long time anyways.

Official releases are overrated. When one comes it will just be a CVS build that got a stamp of approval and shipped out the door. It will become obsolete 5 minutes later when the CVS is updated with the next bug fix.
