On some games, mainly Tony Hawk's Underground 2 and Catwoman, and while the games render fine (except the main model in Catwoman but that's for another thread), video files are playing all jumbled up. At first I assumed it was just a compatability issue with THUG2 on Windows 98 but then I noticed Catwoman had the exact same problem.

The card I'm using is a Radeon 9700 with the correct drivers and DirectX 9 installed. Almost every other game I've installed on the system has run fine, and the videos on the games in question play fine on the same machine on Windows XP, so surely it's something missing or misconfigured on Windows 98?

How do I fix this?
