Hi there,
I have an old 486 PC with a SB card h Gameport and an Winbond IO card with another gameport. With that setup I have a couple of issues which I can't solve. Maybe someone her can help me or at least explain why thinks don't work as intended.
I would like to use a Gravis Gamepad and a Gravis Gamepad Pro with the PC.
1. Both Gameports don't work together. If I disable the SB Gameport the Winbond Gameport works. If the SB Gameport is enabled only this one works. I tested it with the Gravis Gamepad using the GravUtil.
2. SB Gameport + Gravis Gamepad work as expected. Meaning the x/ y axis + 4 Buttons. But using the Winbond Gameport only 2 Buttons work + x/y axis.
3. Using just the Gravis Gamepad Pro in either pass through or single mode shows erratic behavior on both gameports. Buttons don't work and the x axis drifts left all the time. Trying the same gravis gamepad pro under anohterpc in win95 shows 2 buttons not working properly in grid mode (left two front buttons) rest works as expected. So I need to fix that separately.
4. Using both gravis gamepad pro + gravis gamepad with pass through on the SB Gameport shows the same erratic behavior for the Gravis Gamepad pro + working gravis gamepad.
So I am wondering how I can use both gamepads (with x/y axis + 4 buttons each) in games properly at the same time either using both Gameports or pass through on one of them.
