I’ve been lurking around VOGONS for quite a while but this is my first post. Hoping someone here might be able to help me with an original Australian Manaccom big-box copy of registered DOOM.

I have the original four floppy disks, but unfortunately Disk 3 has developed a read error. I’ve tried recovering it with ddrescue and managed to recover most of it, but there’s still a section that won’t read.

The Manaccom disks use these split files:

Disk 1: DOOM1_1C.1
Disk 2: DOOM1_1C.2
Disk 3: DOOM1_1C.3
Disk 4: DOOM1_1C.4

I’ve searched around online but haven’t been able to find this particular DOOM1_1C.* set anywhere. The v1.1 images I’ve found use DOOM1_1R.* instead.

I’m also not 100% sure which version of DOOM this Manaccom set contains. The disks themselves don’t state a version. I initially thought it was v1.2 because the installer displays “De-ICE v1.2”, but I’ve since learnt that’s the version of the De-ICE installer, not necessarily the game. From what I’ve found, this may be an early Australian v1.1 release.

Does anyone happen to have this Australian Manaccom release and would be willing to make an .IMG of Disk 3, or know if images of this particular set have been archived somewhere?

I’m mainly trying to preserve the original set without modifying or replacing the faulty disk.

Any help identifying the exact version or finding DOOM1_1C.3 would be greatly appreciated.
