ok, i have probleme running mugen with dosbox but i want to ask a question first :
can i make video capture from mugen ?
it's the only thing i want so i made some search about that and the only thing i found out was running mugen in the dosbox because dosbox is a active windows for capture programe but i'm not sure if, mugen launched, that will work. is it possible ?
maybe you know another/better way to do that ?

im using dos mugen 04.14.01
my config :
athlon64 X2 4200+
1Go DDR PC 3200 corsair values
Sapphire X800 XL

well now, if you dont know if they is another way to make video capture of mugen, i would like to know how can i launch mugen in the doxbox. ( if the video capture is possible... )

i made a search in the forum but i didn't understand the answers well about that.

i have the error message :

Load error: NO DPMI - Get csdpmi*b.zip

please, what can i do to launch mugen ?

sorry for my engrish...
thx

The program needs a DPMI server to access memory in 32-bit protected mode. CWSDPMI should have been included with it, but may have been left out if they expected you to run it in a DOS window in Windows (which provides DPMI services to DOS apps). CWSDPMI should be easy to find.

I think this is the official site: http://clio.rice.edu/cwsdpmi/

You should be able to just unzip cwsdpmi.exe and plop it in the game's directory/folder, then the game should work the way you were trying to run it before.

ok i think i will give up, i tryed differente mugen.cfg
the only change i was able to have is that mugen ask me for change the resolution with his yes/no choice.
if i say yes, it say that i need a vesa drivers, but i searched some and installed it ( i think ) but it's the same "need vesa drivers.."

say me if you have any idea but i after trying all capture prog and dosbox, i think i will never be able to make some video capture. ( also tryed to modify the dosbox.conf... )

damn it !

If you are using a CVS version of DOSBox (see my sig for a link if you're not already using one) then VESA support will be built-in and no drivers are needed.

yeah i had to do some tinkering on the mugen.cfg.
it ran very slow so it wasn't that interresting.
