1. Motherboard = ASUS 8EN SLI Premium
2. Processor type and speed = AMD Athlon 64 4000+
3. Amount and type of RAM = 1GB (2x512MB) DDR
4. Video board w/ RAM amount and type = GeForce 7800GTX PCI Express +16 256MB
5. Sound board = On board sound Realtek AC97
6. Operating system = Win XP SP2
7. Game name = Animal by Microtime, 1996
8. Problem = Game runs but mouse cursor is not moving even after trying CTRL+F10. Game is completely dependent on the mouse.
9. Reproducibility of problem = Always, on start.
10. Sound mode used = Default, Setsound.exe used to select "Sound Blaster Compatible"
11. Video mode = Default
12. Version of emulator = DOSbox version 0.63
13. Steps already attempted = CTRL+F10, I couldn't find further mouse help on readme and FAQs

Hello, Leonor, Welcome to the forum.

You should try a CVS version (a ßeta version newer than 0.63) because a lot of things have changed since 0.63 was released.

E.g.

And check the autolock line inside dosbox.conf (This is a plain text file containing the configuration for DOSBox).

The cursor will not move if you have low cycles. Try to set them to 25000 or more (CTRL+F12) and use dynamic core.
