I am new to DOS BOX but vaguely familiar with DOS in general. I have been trying to install several classic games of my youth but have been running into trouble.

My first example would be in the installation of Pirates Gold. I have DOS BOX automatically mount the directory where I have my old games as its C: drive.
The game installs from Floppy disks though and I have been having trouble getting the installation program to look at my directory as a floppy disk.

What I have been trying is "mount a C:\dos\cdrive\pirate"

When I type that, it tells me that the drive is mounted as the A: drive.

From there , I go to install the game and it still tells me I need to insert disk one and press enter.

I have browsed the internet the last couple of days in search of an answer but haven't found anything yet. I am sure that this is a fairly common problem but haven't been able to find anything on it.

So I apologize in advance if this is asked all the time.

Thanks
Ben

mount a: c:\dos\cdrive\pirate -t floppy

You can also add a -label "LABEL" if you know the game requires it.
