First off, the game works fine, no probs, i have also enabled 'ipx', but when selecting Network Game, the game asks me to enter a node?
Whatever I select, it just seems to freeze.
Is it possible at all to play Warcraft 1 in Multiplayer via I-Net? Or am I wasting my time?

And yes I bought it legally, though it's a Cheap Buy Edition, no Manual whatsoever 😀

It also works fine on my 'old' P2 400, but it would be cool if it would be playable via I-Net with some friends, in those days they knew how to make games 😉

So it simply comes down to, is it at all possible to play an I-Net MP game via DosBox, or am I wasting my time trying?

Tnx for any answers 😀

Node must be the same for both players.
Apart from ipx=true you have to do "ipxnet startserver" on one computer and "ipxnet connect <IPaddress of server>" on the other.

Tnx alot, got it working after a few tries and alot of "...not Responding", but the performance was unplayable, I guess the PC's don't have enough "Power", ah well i'll fizzle around with it some more, tnx again for the quick answer 😀

Tnx yet again, solved the "not Responding" Problems, Performance still feels a little sluggish however, i'll try to find some more to test via I-Net, tested in a LAN environment so far only.

What kind of machine are you playing it on? Not the P2 I hope.....

Hehe, no, I doubt the P2 would even run DosBox in any usable Speed, besides the P2 runs most Dos Games natively (that's why I bought it for 10 Euros ^^).

I've been trying with an AMD64 3000+ (1gig Ram, Geforce 6800GT) on one end and a P4 3.6Ghz (512MB Ram, Ati 9600) on the other end.
Singleplayer works fine tough, also as said i've only tried it in a LAN so far.

You can increase the cycles even further. Have a look at the CPU usage to know when to stop.

Tried 'max', that punched the cycles up to 40000-60000, but it was even more laggy.
So i tried 15000, that did the trick, works fine now, tnx for all the help 😀
