I've been trying to get Ultima 6 working from my copy of the Ultima Collection, and have been having a ton of problems with it.

Originally, I tried to simply copy the Ultima6 directory from the CD to my games directory, but once I've done that, running the .exe file hangs DosBox. The window title changes to reflect that the running program is called Ultima6, but nothing happens, it simply sits there, mocking me.

It will run if I start it from the CD drive, but won't go farther than character creation, since I can't write to those files.

I've tried running the installation program on the CD, but it uses xcopy. I copied the install.bat to my hard drive, edited it to use regular copy, and ran it from there, but it again didn't work. Both ways create a UC directory, and the appropriate subdirectory, but won't copy any files over.

I'm using Mac OSX.3, and DosBox version .65b1. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
