Hi,

My first attempt at using DosBox and my first post so please bear with me. I was trying to run Tony La Russa Baseball II. The video and game controls are perfectly fine, but there is no sound at all. I am not sure if there is some setting that I need to change. Did you configure sound at all? Maybe there is some install, setup, setsound executable or something like that. Or maybe, you need to delete some .cfg file in the game folder.

That was it. There was a sound setup file in the main folder. Once I ran that, it worked. Thanks so much for your help.

EDIT: Sigh, I thought I had it, but I only got the music to work, not the sound effects. When I run the Sound installer, it asks if I want to use one sound card for music and one for digital sound effects. Whether or not I choose one card or 2 cards, only the music works, not the digital sound effects. My choices for the sound effects are

A) SoundBlaster Pro III
B) SoundBlaster Pro II
C) SoundBlaster Pro I
D) SoundBlaster Regular
E) Media Vision PAS
F) Media Vision Thunder Board
G) PC Speaker

I tried A and C and it allowed the setting, but didn't actually play the sound effects. The other choices were not allowed in the sound initilaization program.

In the dosbox.conf, I have sbtype=sb16 as my setting, although I changed it to sbpro1 and it didn't work either. Any ideas?

Try changing SB IRQ from 7 to 5 in dosbox.conf and try again.
