Strange Keyboard Problem

I swore I'd never ask for any help with Dosbox. I've long been a lurker who laughed at others who simply couldn't handle it, but, I have a bit of a problem. Not a big one, but an annoying one. After searching the forums I've found a few instances of keyboard problems, but nothing exactly like mine.

I'm currently using ykhwong's CVS build of Dosbox .65, and everything is just fine. I do not use a front end (I set up seperate .conf files with different Autoexecs) and have everything tweaked to my liking. Works great, except for one problem.

The "1" key on my keyboard (The one above the Q and W, not the Numpad keys, in case someone gets confused), when pushed, seems to activate some sort of "Speed boost" mode that makes the game run like it was on meth. Running speed is increased a few hundred times, and stability flies out the window.

I've tried hitting CTRL-F1 and removing only the special functions linked to the 1 key (even though they are suppose to only work if you hit ALT or CTRL along with 1) but even after saving, or setting mapper.txt to read only, or even deleting mapper.txt and removing it from the .conf file entirely, it STILL makes the "1" key my "super boost" key. This is a pain in the arse when playing strategy games or action games that require usage of the numberkeys. (And oddly enough, do not allow Numpad input)

I did finally "kinda" fix it by completely removing all the mapping to the 1 key, so that the 1 key does absolutely nothing now.

What I'm asking you is, can I get the usage of my 1 key back without it being the "super speed insta-crash" button?

And please be gentle if you see this DOSfreak. I normally laugh at the comments you give these people. Don't destroy my fragile mind. I'm an old man.

Does it happen with the official release of dosbox as well?
