Hi guys,

I recently downloaded a copy of Jane's ATF (my favourite game from childhood) and was excited at the prospect of playing it. The game folder contains an .exe file and something called an MS DOS batch file. Anyway, neither of them did anything except open up a dos screen which quickly closed.

I emailed the site for tech support and they recommended DOSbox. I downloaded it, but still can't work out how to get the game to work.

The game is installed to C:\ATF

The exe file is entitled AF.exe, the batch file is simply called ATF

Any help you guys could give me would be absolutely wonderful.

Thanks,

Matt.

Unfortunately, we are not equally excited at the prospect of unlicensed software here at VOGONS.

Illegal downloads are often full of weird bugs due to errors in the re-packaging process. It is difficult enough to debug real DOSBox error without having to combat errors in the games itself, so I regrettably have to close the thread.

If you can find a legitimate download (e.g. a demo) that exhibit the same error, please come back, post a link to the legal version, and we will do our best to help you.
