Hello People.
I'm new at DOSBox so please understand.

I used to play Rising Lands when I was younger. I wanted to play it now at Windows XP but the game speed is too fast. I was told to use DOSBox to play the game. I followed all instructions at the FAQ and when I type "rising.exe" at DOSBox, the game that was supposed to pop up, doesn't, and I get a message "this is a Windows 95 executable", and that's it. I've downloaded Constructor and runned it perfectly on DOSBox.

Theres many people that already played it trough DOSBox and they didnt had this problem and they used Windows XP too.

If someone could tell me what I should do I'd appreciate so much.

Thanks a lot for reading.
Regards,
Daluz.

this is a Windows 95 executable

This means that the program you are trying to run is a WINDOWS program NOT a DOS program.

DOSBOX is a DOS emulator, NOT a WINDOWS emulator.

If the game runs in Windows XP but runs too fast then you need to run a program that slows down your computer, like CPUKILLER: http://www.cpukiller.com/

Will it slow down the game or my entire computer?

I've tried it out and I didnt liked it cause my pc gets too slow and the game speed doesnt look lower, looks like matrix x.x

Isn't there another way?
