After getting the issues worked out for the freezing after 30 minutes in the OS X version of DosBox, I sat down today to play some Darklands. However my glee was cut short when I discovered that while using the dynamic core, the game would freeze while selling items to merchants. I've got a save game that only puts me less than a dozen clicks away from being able to reproduce the error like clockwork.

This happens on both OSX and Windows. I tried downloading the latest CVS code for OSX and patching it for the freeze bug, but I still get the same issue there. I've only reproduced this with the 0.70 release on Windows.

Since there are so many bugged versions of darklands floating around (mine was installed on a rerelease of darklands distributed on CD that I've kept for oh so many years), in addition to my saved games, you may find it necessacary to have a copy of my version of darklands as well.

However this bug is so easy to reproduce, I'd be interested if seeing if anybody can reproduce it without my saves and my version. Simply build a party, kill a few parties of robbers and then sell their stuff to the foreign traders.

Please note: Using normal core appears to work around the issue.

I've only reproduced this with the 0.70 release on Windows.

Maybe try it with dosbox 0.65, if it works there try getting/compiling
the sources from around december 2006.
