Popcorn, which is available as abandonware from several games sites, runs way too fast.

I tried decreasing the CPU cycles - at 20% the game still runs too fast, but at 15%, it grinds to a complete halt.

I tried changing the cycle up/down intervals, but this didn't seem to change the fact that ctrl+F11 and ctrl+F12 always move in 5% increments.

I also tried changing the cpu core settings but didn't get any good results.

It's available, legally, here: http://www.DELETED
Edit: Link deleted by MiniMax

If someone could show me how to get it playable, I would be very grateful as it's one of the PC Games my wife used to play when we first met, and I was hoping to surprise her by getting it to run on our Plasma TV.

I'm running DosBox 0.72 on an Intel Mac Mini with OS X 10.5.1.

Stick to the default dosbox settings, core=auto and cycles=auto.

Where do you get from that this game is legally available for download??

Abandonware sites are not considered freeware sites. I suggust you use the forum where you got the game.

Try writting core normal and cycles 500 at the DOSBox prompt. That should yield you a low speed.
