I cannot mount a drive because DosBox thinks that my \ key is the ] key, although this keyboard's keys haven't changed quite alot from a traditional keyboard (still is qwerty).

I've tried using sharp keys (a registry hacker to change key mappings like changing M key to Q key)

anyways, is there any way to fix this other then the last resort? (getting a normal keyboard)

Try usescancodes=false in your dosbox configuration file.

And please post full specs (OS, dosbox version etc.) next time.

And if the problem occurs at the DOSBox prompt, or only when an application is running, or both.

Ok,

My version is 0.72
My Operating System is Windows XP
Problem at DosBox prompt

I've tried usescancodes=false and it still doesn't work. My \ key is right above the Enter key not next to the Backspace.
What interested me in was the mapperfile setting, does that have the keyboard settings? and where is the .txt? I can't find it in the folder
