Can't get Colonization to run....need help

i am not completely savvy on computer information or systems in which they run so bare with me....i have included all information that i know....any help i'm sure will be useful and gratefully appreciated!!

whenever i try to play colonization, i type in "colonize" but then it says "file-> findcd.c, line-> 56 could not locate cd" i have the cd in of course so i do not understand the problem? also i have read other posts and tried typing in "viceroy" but whenever i do that it says "exit value: 19" afterwards.

Colonization (Vers 1.1)

DOSBox 0.72

Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002
HP Pavilion
Intel(R) Celeron(R) M Processor
1.6 GHZ
99 GB RAM

(cd drive info....i think??)
TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H552L

The CD might be in, but have you also mounted it in DOSBox?

Maybe reading my 60 Seconds Guide to DOSBox will help?

If that doesn't help, come back with details on how you mounted your C and D drives, how you did the install, how you configured sound, music etc.

ok i got i working....

after reading the readme on dosbox and that other post you suggested i figured it out. the problem was, i wasn't mounting my cd rom drive at all, only the c drive. i installed the game some other way so when i tried to play it of course it wasn't recognizing any cd rom drive.

thanks a bunch!! guess it pays off to actually read instructions first!
