Hello,
I have a lot of old flight sims which I will get working in DosBox, but this leads to a question.

What joysticks have other members had good luck with, preferably one that still works fine in XP as well as DosBox?

I LOVED the old Microsoft Precision Pro, but I cant find the software for XP to allow it to work right. In recent years I tried the Saitek Cyborg wireless..... but I have had WIERD problems with it.... so I prefer to use something else.

So what have you guys had good luck with?? Preferably something with programmable/macroable buttons and a throttle?

THANKS ALL!

PS. If I leave my Saitek Cyborg Command Unit active, will it argue with another input device?

Any USB joystick should work; while DOS games usually only recognize the first four buttons, a program like joy2key or (my preferred) Xpadder can help you bind the rest of the buttons to keys, mouse buttons, or macros. I use a Microsoft Sidewinder USB joystick (a later-model Precision, I believe, the device name just calls it Sidewinder) that has eight buttons and a throttle.

Oh, I should mention: you don't need software to use the Sidewinders with Windows XP. The necessary drivers are preinstalled with the OS, and the devices should work out of box with no issues - my dad is still able to use his Force Feedback Pro and Force Feedback Steering Wheel. Of course this all depends on you actually having the necessary gameport to hook it up...
