I cannot get this game to work. I've tried several different ways. I get the game to start playing the intro by dragging the bb.exe file over dosbox. I had to change the bb.inf to C:/blood to get game to start. The game freezes at "
Can't load c:/bloodART\ABC\STADIUM.WAD
Real highwater = 7810:65F0 (517872 bytes)
XMS highwater = 117584
C:\> "
I bought the cd so it cant be a bad downloaded version. I'm currently trying dosbox 0.72 and my OS is Win XP. Somebody please help

You need to start dosbox regulary not by drag/drop the exe onto the dosbox icon. And then you need to install the game from within dosbox. Follow the 60 seconds guide from the guides section of this forum.

How would install the game into dosbox? I've tried mount c c:/ and have gotten a successful mount to the c drive. What am I missing?

I tried using directions of 60 seconds guide.
z mount c c:\blood
z mount d "d:\" -t cdrom
z c:
c dir /w
bb.exe
The next screen shows
can't load c:\blood\art\art.wad
real highwater = 33d4:37eo (226592 bytes)
c:\>
I'm still confused

I get that same text of going through the whole 60 second guide directions as just going into "my computer, c drive, blood, and dragging bb.exe over the dosbox icon on my desktop. The game doesn't even start.
can't load c:\blood\art\art.wad
real highwater = 33D4:37E0
XMS highwater = 0
c:\>

Once the bb.inf is changed to c:\blood\ the game will start but before you can actually play a game you stop at

can't load c:/bloodART\ABC\STADIUM.WAD
Real highwater = 7810:65F0 (517872 bytes)
XMS highwater = 117584
C:\>

Delete c:/blood and do what i told you to in my first reply. The guide gives you hints on installing. You could have been playing for hours already...

okay i feel really dumb, i just do not understand what this page is asking me to do. I deleted the c:/blood and then i get into the d:/ drive to run install and setup. once its installed i don't know where it goes or how to access it. while in the mount d:/ i can get the bb.exe main executable file but there is no bb.inf for trajectory.

if you followed the guide, you have a mount c as well. It got probably installed to that, so in Dosbox (with the same mountings as before) go to c: and then type dir and see whether you have blood or something there.

In the old days, the Internet communities was populated with smart peoples using dumb terminals. Today the people with fancy browsers can not seem to read and follow instructions.

I installed the game from dosbox, but it will not allow me to play the game. I mount c c:\blood , mount d "d:\" -t cdrom , c:/ - bb.exe , and then the game should start.
Can't load c:\BLOOD\ART\ART.WAD
Real highwater =33D4:37E0 (226592 bytes)
XMS highwater = 0
C:\>
I've tried going into the c: drive from my computer and changing the bb.inf to c:\blood\ and then the game will start, however, I am still getting the same error as before - when I just dragged the main bb.exe file to the dosbox icon.
I changed the bb.inf from -
D:\ C:\BLOOD\
-to c:\blood\ (that above was copied and pasted)
Can't load c:\blood\ART\ABC\STADIUM.WAD
Real highwater =7810:65F0 (517872 bytes)
XMS highwater = 117584
C:\>
So what am I doing wrong?

So what am I doing wrong?

For starters you are not following the guide...

Then it goes on that you mount c c:\blood -> this leads to c:\blood being the actual c:\ drive for Dosbox. So when you start bb there is no c:\blood...
Again, follow the guide and you should succeed

I did mount c c:/blood and then c:/blood became my c: and that is how i got into the bb.exe. If I had not done that then it would not allow me to run bb.exe.

Once I changed the bb.inf from my computer, c:, and then blood folder, from the d:\ c:\blood\ to just c:\blood\ it allowed the game to start and you see the opening sequence of game video. It allowed me to pick my team and the computer team. I hit continue and the next screen was the choose between computer and human coaching. That is the last operational screen I get to use. It tries to show a picture of some kind of art work and that is when it gives me the final error that I cannot make it past.

Apparently not, since he(?) continues to refuse to follow instructions, but blindly forge ahead with his((?) own ideas.

Yes I would really appreciate it if somebody could help me get this game to work. Maybe if somebody could give me a step by step direction instead of pointing me in the direction of some page that I have already looked at. I tried the directions of 60 second guide. Maybe I didn't seem to understand it correctly. THAT WOULD BE WHY I NEED HELP. And I don't see how I'm refusing to follow directions. If I could set up a time that we could do a step by step??? Thanks

The step-by-step instructions you are asking for is in the damn 60 seconds guide. And nobody asked you to look at it. We asked you to FOLLOW it. Which you do not. Until I see some proof that you have have actually followed my guide, I won't waste more time on you.
