I have the compiled Ultrasound install posted in the Ultrasound guide. It works, I've got a few other games using it including Xcom. Unfortunately I can't get Reunion to work. My Ultrasound install is set to U:\ULTRASND and I've copied the Dosbox Ultraouns parameters from working .conf to this one. R: is my Reunion directory.

Here's what I've tried:

setup r:
setup e r:

In both cases I choose 1 for Gravis Ultrasound, and I get nothing. SoundBlaster works but I'm a sucker for fruit that isn't low-hanging. 😉

Thoughts?

Why did you map your drives that way, instead of C: and D:?
Maybe that is contributing to your troubles.

Doubtful. Other games are set up similarly. The reason I use the drive letters is because I have an enormous amount of data on my system and I'm picky about what programs see what.

Of the dozen or so DOS games I'm actively playing with, this is the only one that Ultrasound doesn't work with. Again, SB works fine.

The game wants the base IO address of the GUS to be 220 (gusbase=220). 220 is the default base IO address of the SB in DOSBox, so be careful not to overlap by either disabling SB (sbtype=none) or use another base address for the SB (e.g. sbbase=240).
