Im new here, wanna type mount d D:\ -t cdrommount but what comes up using my backslash is ] so I cant do anything and looks like
mount d D:] -t cdrommount, I am using win vista 64 and even tries the virtual keyboard! Help!

My crystal ball just told me you're not using an english keyboard. Try other keys like '#' for example.
If that doesn't work, post your system specs, DOSBox version, etc.
If all else fails, put the line you want to type into the 'autoexec' section of your dosbox.conf file (Start Menu - DOSBox-0.73 - Configuration - Edit Configuration).
Edit: it's "-t cdrom", not "-t cdrommount"
