Hello,

This game works, but anytime I get into a gunfight it crashes. I configured dosbox 0.73 to run as a 386 core. Turned off xms and ems - that didn't help.

Any thoughts?

I'm running XP Pro on a Dell Inspiron - thanks.

Anyone? The game plays okay (still crashes sometimes) when I only use a handgun,, but automatics crash it almost instantly.

This game should require cpytype=386_prefetch
So if you run it with cputype=386 maybe you are useing a game with prefetch patch. So maybe try to run the game without the patch.

Good suggestion, but I'm not using a patch (although there was one put out by a member of this forum).

I'm currently running 386_prefetch.

Whenever I run the game, it briefly mentions something like "maximum ems..." could that mean anything?

Also probably nothing, but when I installed the game from cd-rom (files were transferred there from original floppy) I got a "limited support" message due to the fact that I installed from a subdirectory. Again, probably nothing, but I suppose there's no harm mentioning it.

The game runs almost exactly the same (basically same crashes) on the patched version (using standard 386 in config) vs the non-patched ver. (using 386_prefetch).

"Maximum of 64K EMS used."

I think you could try to install the game from floppies just in case.
