DOSBox splash screen removable?

Hi,

I am using DOSbox to run my CAD-system (http://users.telenet.be/desi-iii), therefore my sincere thanks to the developers and co-developers of DOSBox. I can nearly making DOSBox invisible to the user, only since version 0.73 there is a DOSBox splash screen appearing, is there a way to remove it?

no the idea is that dosbox isn't invisible to end user.

Yes, comment out the code and recompile.

Hi,

Like I use DOSbox, starting the CAD system directly from the conf file and changing the screen to another graphics resolution, the flashing splash screen is more annoying as joyous, the display time is too short to give it any meaning. On the other hand, the DOSbox window title bar is still visible and I make my users very clear that the system must be run in DOSbox under Windows or an other OS.

May I suggest to include a configuration parameter for a yes/no display of the splash screen ?

If there were then everybody would just set it to "No".

The DOSBox title bar doesn't differentiate for the user if they are using DOSBox or the "Command Prompt" (aka DOS Box) in Windows.

Also alot of people were taking DOSBox, packaging it in their own packages and not giving any credit.

As mentioned above it can easily be changed in the source.
