60 seconds guide to getting your game to run in DOSBox
on getting games to work is basically the same as for DOS Box Portable...Iv been waiting a bit to get my Dune 2k working but have not been able to in Vista 64(Ultime), hope this works.

Yes, Dosbox is the same program...
The guide is not applicable to the portable version from

If you have more than 60 seconds to spare,

on since you are not using the installer. I recommend using the installer, btw., who knows what the portable people decided are the best default settings.

Edit: if this keeps up, I smell a "take your problems to portable apps - they bundle it, so they support it!" coming 😀

Portable or not, Dune 2000 is a Windows game. DOSBox is a DOS emulator.

Forgive me for being so new to both DOS Box and the portable scene. I will take my related issues their, maybe find a forum...

Anyhow, can anyone provide me with a link or PM me on how to get this program working on Vista...the installer is 16bit so Vista keeps saying no, regardless of the privacy settings.

Again, since alot is NOT RELATED directly to the topic PM me please.

BTW...all original media, photo holding disc can be provided if your thinking this is illegal software. I got tired of reformatting from using P2P software days, and days ago 😅 [/quote]

You'll need to install the game on a 32bit OS and then copy over to your 64bit one.
Remember to edit the resource.cfg file to point to your drive letter.

Also zip up the install after you get it working for future use.
