Ok, its been years since I played it last but today I started playing FE2 again using Dosbox version 0.73. It seems to run perfectly. However, the game apparently thinks the letters I input for the police checks are wrong. After three police checks I get arrested and game over. I am sure the letters are I input are correct.

I'm finding this problem very frustrating because I really want to play this game again and this problem is stopping me from doing so. Any help would be very much appreciated.
