Hi,

I've recently acquired a GUS PNP, which I intend to use for my DOS PC. The other Soundcard installed is a SB AWE32 CT3900.

I only want to use the GUS in DOS only, so the setup ~should~ be simple.
However, I've run into a bump right from the start: I can't even run the setup. I'm installing the drivers to the harddisk and after copying them from the disk, the setup program hangs.

I'm using the GUS in a P233MMX with an Asus P55T2P4 board and DOS 7.1

After manually using the settings posted by 5u3 in this topic Gus PnP and Awe PnP in the same system I've been able to get something out of the card, testing it with DOOM and Duke3D

I've been able to find the SETRAM.EXE on the web, and thankfully it works. I now have full sound and music with the GUS, but there is still one annoying problem: IWINIT initially fails to recognize the card. It only works after I used the IWEEPROM tool to set the values manually each time the PC boots up.

It seems as the values aren't being stored properly. Anything I can do about that?

Searching for AWE32 along with GUS I have found this old topic in google search.
I have got the DHL delivery of my recently bought AWE64 and GUS Pico.
Now I will install them parallely in the same PC and report here.
Wish me luck.

I have a question:

According to a reply in this topic here, the Pico GUS is only usable under MS-DOS 6.22 or DOS 7.0 Mode of Win98SE?
PicoGUS: ISA sound card emulator with Raspberry Pi Pico (Gravis Ultrasound, AdLib, MPU-401, Tandy, CMS)

I have bought 2x ISA Soundcards:
1. AWE64
2. Pico GUS

My hope was: use them both for MS-DOS and Windows 9x games.

What can you tell me, was I wrong or are there some Win9x drivers for PicoGUS somewhere in the internet which I cannot find now by a google search?
