Hello 😁

Ok first my stats:

1 .Asus motherboard
2. Intel Core2 Duo CPU E6550 @ 2.33GHz
3. 2.34 GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM
4. NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT 1G RAM
5. Built in RealTek
6. Windows XP
7. Shattered Steel (with original CD)
9. Can not get game to start. Will explain on bottom.
10. Always at beginning of loading, before the game is successfully run
11. General Midi and Soundblaster. Both were ok when tested in the Dos installer.
12. I didn't set or change anything regarding video mode, so I guess Software and it is set to [original resolution].
13. DOSBox 0.72
14. I popped the CD in, installed the game via the autorun menu, choosing maximum space, 16 bit options instead of 8. Then, I changed only this section:
"core=normal
cycles=20000"

and added the following at the end of the conf file:

"mount c "f:\games\ssteel"
mount d g:\ -t cdrom
c:
ssteel"

Then, I get an error message saying:
"World1.pol not found"

So I searched for that file, found it under POLYS folder, and copied it to the root SSTEEL folder.

Ran it again, then it said:
"Texlib.tex not found"

Again, I searched for it, found it under TEXTURES folder, and copied it to the root SSTEEL folder.

Ran it again, then it said:
"Can't open F:\Games\ssteel\graphics\font.pcx for reading."

I also tried lowering my resolution to 640x480, but the lowest i can go was 800x600. 😜
