I really want to play "Battle for Atlantis." According to this website, it is compatible with DosBox: http://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?showID=1259&letter=B

I downloaded the game from: http://www.classicdosgames.com/genre/strategy.html and created a new folder. The file location is c:\program files\atlantis\atlant22\atlantis.exe

I also downloaded the DosBox. I read the 60 second overview of the program that was posted to this message board, but I found it too confusing. I'm not familiar with how to use Dos prompts. Can one of you give me step by step instructions in how I can get this game to work? Thank you!

Thanks Robert, but I just tried: mount c c:\atlantis and mount c c:\program files\atlantis and neither of them worked.

I put quotes around c:\program files\atlantis and it was accepted, then I typed in dir/w and it shows atlant22.zip, but I'm not sure what to do next. I've heard that I'm supposed to check the games instructions on which dos command to use at this point, but skimming through it I haven't noticed anything.

first do this:
How to Unhide File Extensions for Known File Types in Windows
http://support.mfm.com/support/std_procedures … extensions.html

.zip is an archive(compressed files), before you can use it you have to extract them with winrar for example

what is your dosbox version and where have you got it from?
what is your Operating System?
what are your PC specifications?

I downloaded WinRar and was able to get the game to work. Is there a way to go to a full screen? And I think there might be something wrong with the sound, although I don't remember well enough to know for certain. Is there a way to adjust that also?

I download DosBox 0.74 and my OS is Vista.

I was able to get a full screen by pressing alt+enter. As for the sound, I don't remember how it is supposed to sound, so it might be okay. And Dos games probably have fewer sound effects and lower quality.
