I recently bought this Samsung laptop and got Star Wars: Dark Forces to run like a dream on DOSBox 0.74. "Awesome," I thought, "now let's try Betrayal at Krondor."

I managed to get the game running fine with CD audio on my XP machine (Intel Pentium 4 3GHz/3GB RAM) and on the laptop, but the problem with the laptop is I'm not sure how to set my custom BAK conf file to keep the sound from stuttering. Even the frame rate stutters a bit with it. I tried playing around with the cycles, cpu type, core, and mixer settings, but I've yet to find a working formula.

I've attached the original working conf file from the XP setup so you can see how everything's working. Any recommendations?

Maybe the laptop has a bad onboard audio codec that sucks at resampling? Try changing all 44100 to 48000 in your config.
