Hi all,

I love the Dosbox initiative!

I have one question at the moment. I want to try and redirect a printer port within dosbox, usually within DOS itself I would use the "net use" command and bind (for example) a network printer to an lpt port, however it seems this is an invalid command in dosbox. I could not find the command in the commands list when using the "help" command.

Can someone confirm to me that the "net use" command does not work in Dosbox 0.74 or if it does how I can make it work.

Thanks for any help available.

Regards,
Sander

No, Dosbox doesn't implement network redirection of a printer.

You would be much better off for such tasks in using one of the virtual machine environments like Vmware or VirtualBox. Dosbox is intended as a simulation that allows you to run DOS based games, not a true recreation of all of the hardware/software available on older PCs.

For printing inside DOSBox just do the net use redirection from Windows and get HAL-9000 printer-enabled build. Search the forum.
