I was able to get the Windows version of Three Sisters' running using Dosbox but the game freezes up at the first screen that appears after the title screen. Also the game will only start if I press my left mouse button. The ingame hand cursor doesnt move either. I tried increasing the frameskip and the processor speed but that doesnt help.Any help will be greatly appreciated. Im using DOSBox 0.60 and running WinXP Home at 1.7ghz with 1.00 GB Ram and a NVidia gforce2 mx100/200 videocard.🙁

yeps. They do some really fancy keyboard loop programming 😀

We can get it running by nopping out a specific loop in the debugger. But offcourse we have to figure out what is happening there and how to fix it 😀

I'd just like to point out that running a Windows version of a program in DOSBox would be a pretty cool trick, seeing as how it's impossible.

Yes, it’s my fault.

It has to be the dos version then. I just thought it was the Windows version because it has music. I remember having the dos version back in the day and it didnt have music back then.My mistake.😀 Anyways Ive found the version that will work on Winxp at a website and Ive purchased it. Heres a link to the website for any that are interested in it. http://www.animecornerstore.com/jausco.html

There is some bug with CMOS timer. It is used by waiting routine at the time when it is disabled (INT70 handler does it). Nothing to do with keyboard. I put report on beta board, so hopefully it gets fixed.

Well Somewhere i posted that i figured out that keyboard wasn't too blame.
Cmos and timer is a very likely cause.

Thank you Mirek.
I'll look into it.

I had the game in c:\3sis and I tried to run it with DOSBox 0.60.
I had the initial screen after the titels, and an option to choose new game or continue game, I had music all the time...
When the first screen appeared the game wouldn't proceed, clicking the mouse didn't do anything. The music went on and on however.
Does anyone have new suggestions?
Thanks!

Next version of what? Of DOSBox?
I wasn't aware that there was a new version under way.
Is that really so? Really, really?

Well, DOSBox 0.61 is out, and judging from this thread Three sisters should be running now.
I still have the mouse confined in the upper RIGHT corner of the screen - where the "Look, Talk, Think" menu is.
Has anyone been successful in running the game? How?

press ctrl-f10
the mouselocking feature doesn't work with that game.
