Hi all. I recorded a video with the DOSBox recorder and, after successfully installing the Codec, imported it in Windows MovieMaker, where I edited the video (cutting, fading in/out,...).
When I try to save the final video which, according to WMM, should take less than 3MB in the selected format (it's a very short video), it doesn't start saving. All it shows is the estimated time remaining and that time just keeps climbing endlessly. I canceled the saving process when the estimated time remaining was over 30 hours already and still climbing. I also tried saving the short video in different formats, but the same thing happened.
Any idea what causes this?

Perhaps this is a clue. I've recorded hundreds of videos with other software already (Fraps, Screen Recorder Gold) and when I import those videos in WMM, then the tile of each video segment shows the first frame of that segment. I does not do that with the imported DOSBox recording. The tiles there are blank with the "Avi" icon in the middle.

Any help would be appreciated.

Interesting little program. Downloaded it, explored the basic functions and managed to cut up the video and save a desired portion of it as AVI. The AVI I saved was readable in WMM so I could put the final touches on it and the final result saved nicely in WMM. A bit more work but it does the trick. Thank you for the advice 😀.

Don't forget to resize the videos to fix the aspect ratio. DOSBox records the videos in 320 x 200 even if you have the aspect ratio correction applied.

It looks stretched otherwise...
