Hello guys.
After googling this issue for ~3 hours, I've found a lot of similar issues that other people have had with this game. I don't have to open DOSBOX for the specific version to work, but "The setup file in this ISO has been replaced with a patch. This patch is based on the open-source project DOSbox. (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/. This is why I decided to come here for help.

The game itself works perfectly, except that the game's music doesn't play (sound effects are fine). According to other posts, the original game just played the music in CD format, (some technojargon is here: Rayman 1 no music in DosBox).

To a noob who has no idea how DOSbox works, is there a way for me to fix this using the ISO file I have, or do I have to obtain a different version and deal with DOSbox?

P.S. I'm using a Windows 7 computer

Sounds like abandonware. I'm pretty sure Ubisoft has never released a special DOSBox version of Rayman ever.

A real copy of Rayman would have music, and not be retardedly repacked into ISO by someone who has probably never played the real game before (that would be aware of the CD audio soundtrack).

Rayman Designer/Gold/Forever lacks music IIRC

hi, I had the same problem, but i got rayman's music to work!!
in my case in using cd rom but its not really metter.
follow my steps:

1. mount your .iso file.

2. create a foulder called "oldgames" in your hard drive (c:\)

3. open DOSBOX and type:
mount c c:\oldgames

4. type: mount d z:\ -t cdrom -ioctl_dx
when the Z is the letter of your mounted iso file. and just so you know that the _DX adds your audio works/

5. type: D:\

6. type: install

7. your install should open, change your soundcart to soundblast or soundblast 16 and install the game.

8. now when you play the music should work!!!
