I'm still new to Dosbox and all so I don't really know what I'm doing. Anyway, I've got patch version 1.13, but I don't know to how apply it. I tried pasting the "JA" file into the directory where I installed it and applying it from there and a box pops up briefly, but I'm not sure that it worked.

I'm also having trouble installing the "legit" way, so I've had to copy and paste all the files from the CD to my harddrive. I'm using D-Fend Reloaded by the way.

I think you must run/launch/execute the patch from within DOSBox using the same mounting lines. If the patch comes packed (zip, rar, whatever), you must obviously unpack it first.
