Does anyone have a source for these? I can't find them anywhere except with a V2 card. When I try to find VGA extension cables all I find are 6' cables and I'm sure that would degrade the video signal apart from being extremely awkward and contribute to cable mess.

6' VGA extension leads are fine, if they are a reputable brand and quality. I use them on my SLI rig with no adverse effects.

The ones that came with the V2's were actually known for not being that great, so in fact you are probably better off with an aftermarket one.

It should be pretty easy to come by an 18" VGA cable. I know Monoprice has some nice ones, though I don't know what shipping prices would be like for people outside the US.

I use a KVM cable on my V2 machine. The cable itself is probably a half-inch thick, it's very well shielded. So even though I have a big wound-up bunch of half-inch KVM cable hanging off the back of the PC, the picture is bright and sharp.

OTOH, my Canopus 6MB V1 card uses a non-standard mini-DIN-like plug for pass-thru. I can't describe the rage that was building when I couldn't find the fecking thing one time...

Gotta love the proprietary stuff -_-

I once managed to get a hold on 3 SLI cables on Ebay for cheap. Seller didn't have any more, I bought all 3 of em 😁

Passthrough cables I have enough, I got them with the Voodoo 1's and 2's I salvaged out of computers, so alas no spares
