I'm having trouble getting the scaler to work properly with Normality. First up, just want to say this isn't my first time using DosBox, I've previously used it to play Dark Forces and had no trouble getting the scaler to work there.
Anyway, Normality uses a quasi-3D engine akin to Dark Forces, Doom, etc. The scaler is not working on the "3D" part of the game at all. However, when I go into 2D menus, you can see the scaler definitely is applies there - so the scaler must be enabled, yet it's still not applying to most of the game.
I tried adding the forced option - sadly that had no effect.
See attached shots for evidence. The scaler I have set in the with_scaler shots is hq2x, but none of the other scaling methods work either. The output method I have set is ddraw. DosBox version 0.74.
Do the DosBox scalers simply not work on certain rendering methods? Any suggestions on how I can get them working (can someone direct me on how to use one of the shader based scalers)?
