I've been using DOSBOX for many years to play old games.

Recently, I got an iPad2. Of course, I would love to play my DOS favorites on it, but Apple has removed iDOS (DOSBOX) twice from the App Store. First, because EXEs could be transfered via iTunes, and, second, because they could still be transferred via third party utilities like iPhone Explorer. (BTW, I know that DOSBOX is available for iOS if I jailbreak the iPad2, but I don't intend to do that.)

So, I thought I might just play some DOS games on the iPad by actually running them on a remote PC running Windows XP + DOSBOX.

I have tried both RDP and VNC connections. The contents of the DOSBOX window is rendered without and problems. The difficulty I have arises when it comes to mouse control. The desktop mouse displayed by the RDP or VNC client will not sync with the captured mouse displayed in the DOSBOX window.

Is there some DOSBOX setting or Windows option that will resolve this failure to sync the client with the DOSBOX window?

Thanks.

I'll give that custom DOSBOX a try.

Although I mentioned the iPad in my post, my problems aren't really related to touch screens, since I get the same problem when running an RDP connection from a client PC (XP) to a host PC (XP) running DOSBOX.

Thanks.
