Hello, I cannot change the game screen resolution for any game I run in D-Fend reloaded. I have tried to change the fullscreen, windowed, scale modes to no avail. I have laso viewed the DOsbox file and it shows the correct settings.

Here is system data:
•Motherboard
•Processor type and speed: Intel Icore I7, 2630QM, 2.00 Ghz
•Amount and type of RAM: 6 Gb
•Video board w/ RAM amount and type: GTX 460M 1.5 Gb
•Sound board
•Operating system: Windows 7 Prememium
•Game name (and version, if applicable): all games
•Description of problem : Cannot change game screen resolution to anything at all. ALl resolutions tried are supported by the pc display, but the game is always displayed at the origianl game resolution. Have tried to change fullscreen, windowed, and scale modes to no avail.

•Reproducibility of problem: It happens every time any game is run.
•Sound mode used
•Video mode (Software, OpenGL, Direct3D, or Glide, and resolution)
•Version of emulator (for VDMSound, probably 2.0.4 or 2.1.0; for DOSBox, 0.58+)
•Steps already attempted to solve the problem: Treid to change fullscreen, windowed, and scale resolutions in both D-fend reloaded, and Dosbox.

Any advice would be great.

thanks

Only a few DOS games supported changing resolution (like Duke Nukem 3D, Shadow Warrior, Sim City 2000) and it had to be changed into the game or changing the game config files. Also they requires SVGA video cards, so depending on your DOSBox configurations they may believe that they're running on a VGA machine and try resolutions no bigger than 320x200 (or some X modes).

Most games runs at a fixed resolution (i.e.: 640x480 for EGA games), and there are no way you could change that. You may scale the output to match your display resolution (and avoid Out-of-sync situations), or you could use some filters (in scaler section, like 2xSAI and those things) to get a "better" appearance, but the fact is that the "native" resolution of the game is fixed.
