Hello,

I just got an Asus A7V600 board off ebay. I had mentioned this board before and and some people had some prior experience with it.

Can anyone suggest the best processor? I know the bus can run at 400 MHz, but would I be better off sticking with a CPU that runs at 333?

Or if get a CPU that runs on a 400 MHz bus, can I still use 333 MHz RAM?

I am very out of date - any comments would be welcome!

Looks to me like it can take every socket A cpu out there, at a glance. good news for you! 😀

With almost all athlon boards, you can run the ram slower, and it will even auto downclock the ram according to conservative SPD settings.
