I'm trying to figure out what a Pentium II 450 might have been worth, say around 2001 (don't ask why). It was nothing special, just a modest amount of RAM and disk, no special graphics card or sound card. I ended up having to pawn it to pay some bills and I think I got around $200 for it, so I think it could not possibly have been more than $400 or $500 at the most. It was a used system, and as I recall 700mhz and 1ghz systems were common place (I know for a fact I had either a Duron 700 or 1.2ghz box around that time).

If anyone has any thoughts, thanks ahead of time.

I vaguely remember paying something in the vicinity of $90 for a used PII-333 CPU at the time. (I was upgrading from a 266.) But that was just the CPU.

So maybe $300 or $400 tops for a whole machine? I'm fairly certain this thing was pretty low spec, but this was a long time ago.
