Hello,
I need some help in connecting my PC via the printer interface (parallel) with another communication terminal.
The old DOS soiftware should enable me to read and write the memories / registers of this terminal. The old software - ComDat - runs perfectly and it connects via LPT1 to the teminals printer interface (with a Laplink cable).
However the command "download register" responds wit a black DOS window and the Message: "Achtung! Interner Programmfehler bei der Speicherallokation über den Heap" which means: Attention! Internal program error in memory allocation on the heap. (see attachment)
Does anyone has an idea what to do or amend in the DOSBox configuration file?

You know DOSBox's main target are games not applications. Don't you?

Your mileage may vary.

it makes no sense that you end up at z:\
you have to change to the C drive and go to the directory to run it.
So DON'T DO THIS

c:\app\app.exe

but something like this

c:
cd app
app.exe

And of course dosbox is intended for games not apps.

edit: printer port ? We don't emulate that, so you are out of luck
