Take a look at www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Celeron/TYPE-Cel ... mine).html and scroll to the bottom. Is there some reason the markings on the Celeron 950 look different from all the other Celerons?

There's some discrepancies with the faster Coppermine PIIIs, too.

Those links are broken because of the brackets...

Need to change ( to %28 and ) to %29:

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Celeron/TYPE-Ce … permine%29.html

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Pentium-III/TYP … permine%29.html

😀

I believe it was sometime in 2001 that they quit putting the Intel logo on the chips and went with the smaller markings. Possibly late 2000; I don't remember any Pentium 4 chips having the Intel logo on them.
