On IRC qbix asked me to do benchmarks with dosbox built for 32- versus 64bit.
To my surprise, dynamic core was unusable now 🙁
Test case is as usual the PCPlayer benchmark that should switch core to dynamic and cycles to max. With a 32bit build and output opengl I get around 100 fps.
With 64bit Dosbox slows instantly down when switching to dynrec and the DOS4GW startup message from PCPbench isn't even shown. Sometimes it crashes, sometimes it just sits there consuming cycles... Sometimes it switches to cycles max or it stays on the default 3000.
So while switching to dynrec doesn't crash instantly anymore (that was fixed some time ago in that thread SVN on OS X - core=dynamic causes segfault) it is now acting up again 🙁
Just reporting, won't be able to do stuff the next ten days.
