When I install DOSBOX (and Warcraft 2 game) on my wife's pc (Emachine E732Z, Intel P6100, Intel HD Graphics, 4GB DDR3 with W7 Ultimate x64) it works fine in default (small) screen. Whan I Alt-Enter to switch to full screen mode, full screen comes up but game freezes & no mouse movement - nothing works!!!! 😢 Have to toggle back to resume play.

To test this, I have installed DOSBOX & Warcraft2 on my gaming pc and everything worked fine out-of-the-box! Therefore, I'm assume this is a graphics issue with the Emachine laptop (most games are difficult to run on this)!

Any help would be appreciated - we have other older games we'd like to replay using DOSBOX. 😁

set a different output in the config.

Is this an option in the config file? What would you recommend for the Intel HD Graphics card?

Tried all the settings (set svga... to vga etc.), ran the display CONFIG utility - nothing works. Deinstalled the game & dosbox. Still have the 100% fully working version on my desktop pc. Solution - buy a better spec'd laptop at Xmas! 🤣. 🤑

Unless someone has got it working on a eMachine E732Z and can post up the config file, then, this topic can be closed.....

Those are not "output" settings. Mr. DosFreak is referring to the options in the DOSBox configuration file, where you will find, by default, a line that says "output=surface".
