Hi!

I use:
DOSBox 0.74
Windows 7 64bit
Dell Vostro 3700 (i5-520M, 4GB RAM, GeForce 330M)

I have a CD version of The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes - The Case of the Serrated Scalpel. If I set the machine to svga_s3 and run the game, the opening animation is being skipped every time. Just before the animation is about to start there is a message displayed but it's gone too fast to read it. Then the game starts and it seems to work fine. If I set the machine to vgaonly the opening animation starts, everything looks fine but after a few seconds when a cat jumps off a box and the bad guy is about to step in, DOSBox freezes completely (always at the same moment) and I have to kill it from the Task Manager.

The animation works almost fine in a SVN DOSBox (I use the latest one from http://ykhwong.x-y.net/) but if I run the game in full screen there are some distortions.

The game has an issue with DMA wrapping in 0.74, so you'll need to use 0.73 or an SVN build to avoid the issue.

For problems with fullscreen, try changing the output= setting to something other than surface.
